KARNAK (DISAMBIGUATION PLACE).

The Karnak temple complex usually called Karnak – Comprises a vast mix of decayed temples chapels, pylons, and other buildings. Notably the Great Temple of Amun-Re and a massive structure begun by Pharaoh Ramses II (ca. 1391-1351 BC). Sacred lake is part of the site as well. It is located near Luxor, some 500 Kilometers South of Cairo in Egypt.

Karnak, there’s state pillars of the “Great Hypostyle Hall” from the Precint of Amun- Re. Great Hypostyle Hall located within the Karnak temple complex, in the Precint of Amun-Re. Amun-Re in term of Egypt means god of sun.

Is one of the most visited monument of ancient Egypt. The design was initially instituted by Hatshepsut, at the North-West chapel to Amun in the upper terrace of Deir el Bahri. The Hall covers an area of 5000 Meters square, was supported by middle rows are higher than the others (10 Meters) in circumference and 80 feet (24 Meters)

The area around Karnak was the ancient Egyptian Iphet-Isut (“The most selected of places”) and the main place of worship of the eighteenth dynasty The Ban Triad with the God Amun as its head. It is part of the monumental city of Thebes. The Karnak Complex takes its name from the nearby and partly surrounded modern village of el Karnak, some 2,5 kilometers North of Luxor.
